These dates wrapped in bacon and stuffed with feta cheese are so cheesy, sweet, and savory at the same time. You're guests will love this easy appetizer..trust me they'll be impressed! ;)
Ingredients:
1 lb apple smoked bacon (there's usually about 8-10 pieces of bacon, cut the pieces in half)
About 20 dates pitted (you need as many dates as you have of the halved bacon)
3/4 cup Greek feta
Trader Joe's rosemary almonds (if you don't live near a TJ's, then you can just use regular toasted almonds and dried rosemary instead)
1 tbs olive oil
1/4 tsp dried thyme
Maple Syrup (to drizzle on top)
S+P
*Preheat oven to 400º F
-Prepare a backing pan with parchment paper-
Directions:
Mix the Greek feta with 1 tbs olive oil, 1/4 tsp dried thyme, and a dash of S+P.
Open up a pitted date and stuff it with the feta mixture, add 2 rosemary almonds, close it up and wrap it with a half of the bacon. Place on the baking pan. Continue until finished will all the bacon.
Drizzle with maple syrup on top of all the bacon wrapped dates.
Bake for 25-30 min.
