Easy + Healthy Homemade Oatmeal

Packaged oatmeal might taste good, but it's impossible to avoid the added the sugar! Make this homemade oatmeal that will only take less then 8 minutes and it allows you to control how much sugar you add to it. Also you can add so many different toppings that this breakfast will turn from a plain oatmeal to a delicious treat!



Ingredients:


*makes about 6 servings*


  • 3 cups of milk (regular milk, coconut milk, almond milk, oat milk, etc.)

  • 2 cups of oats

  • 2 Tbs brown sugar

  • Toppings (fresh fruit, nuts, maple syrup, honey, nuts, dried fruit, etc)


Directions:


  • Add all the ingredients (except for the toppings) to a medium sauce pan on high heat. When it comes to a boil reduce the heat and let simmer for 5-7 minutes.

  • Pour into a bowl and add your toppings.
