These bars are great for a quick snack or if you need a little bit of energy in the middle of your day. Give this dessert a try and let us know what you think :)
Ingredients for the crust:
3 cups almond flour (blanched)
1/4 cup melted coconut oil
3 Tbsp maple syrup
1/4 Tsp. Himalayan Pink Salt
1/2 Tsp. vanilla extract
Directions:
*Preheat oven to 350* F
*Prepare a baking dish with parchment paper.
Mix all the ingredients together.
Pour the mixture into the baking dish with the parchment paper. Flatten the mixture.
Bake for 15-20 minutes (until the crust is a golden color).
Ingredients for the filling:
3 Tbsp. coconut oil (not melted)
3/4 cups 72% cacao dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup coconut creamer (I used the one from Trader Joe's)
Pinch of Himalayan pink salt
Directions:
Prepare a pot with about 1 cup of water.
Place a large empty bowl over the pot.
Turn stove heat to low.
Add all the ingredients: 3 Tbsp. coconut oil (not melted), 3/4 cups 72% cacao dark chocolate chips, 1/2 cup coconut creamer, and a pinch of Himalayan pink salt.
Slowly keep mixing until all the ingredients melt and come together.
Slowly pour the mixture over the crust (that you made above).
Refrigerate for about 1 hour.
