Healthy Dark Chocolate Bars ( Gluten-Free)

These bars are great for a quick snack or if you need a little bit of energy in the middle of your day. Give this dessert a try and let us know what you think :)




Ingredients for the crust:


  • 3 cups almond flour (blanched)

  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil

  • 3 Tbsp maple syrup

  • 1/4 Tsp. Himalayan Pink Salt

  • 1/2 Tsp. vanilla extract


Directions:


*Preheat oven to 350* F

*Prepare a baking dish with parchment paper.


  • Mix all the ingredients together.

  • Pour the mixture into the baking dish with the parchment paper. Flatten the mixture.

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes (until the crust is a golden color).


Ingredients for the filling:


  • 3 Tbsp. coconut oil (not melted)

  • 3/4 cups 72% cacao dark chocolate chips

  • 1/2 cup coconut creamer (I used the one from Trader Joe's)

  • Pinch of Himalayan pink salt


Directions:


  • Prepare a pot with about 1 cup of water.

  • Place a large empty bowl over the pot.

  • Turn stove heat to low.

  • Add all the ingredients: 3 Tbsp. coconut oil (not melted), 3/4 cups 72% cacao dark chocolate chips, 1/2 cup coconut creamer, and a pinch of Himalayan pink salt.

  • Slowly keep mixing until all the ingredients melt and come together.

  • Slowly pour the mixture over the crust (that you made above).

  • Refrigerate for about 1 hour.
